Who We AreProtect the Falls is a diverse coalition of Montanans working to safeguard public health, healthy waterways, clean air, and rural quality of life in the larger Great Falls region from the significant threats posed by the proposed industrial-scale multi-species, Madison Food Park Slaughterhouse.
We oppose the Madison Food Park Slaughterhouse because it will have enormous negative consequences for not just the environment of the larger Great Falls region, but also too our schools, property values, medical community, law enforcement and welfare services, and public infrastructure. The Madison Food Park’s proposed location less than a dozen miles from Great Falls and six miles from the Missouri River is particularly concerning given the project’s unprecedented magnitude, unnecessarily risking the livelihoods and health of hundreds of families and businesses in direct proximity. We value our local farmers and ranchers, and believe that industrial agriculture harms our traditional agrarian sector just as much as our economy, our environment, and our rich Montana outdoors heritage. |
